Wang Yan is a professor at the School of Communication and Electronic Engineering, East China Normal University. She is a recipient of the national-level youth talent program, a high-level talent in Shanghai, and a Zijiang Excellent Young Scholar. She earned her Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. During her academic career, she visited the CBCS Lab at Ohio State University under the supervision of Professor Aleix Martinez and completed her postdoctoral studies at the CCVL Lab at Johns Hopkins University with Professor Alan Yuille. Her research focuses on medical image analysis and segmentation, as well as multidimensional imaging technologies. Her major achievements have been published in top-tier journals and conferences in medical image processing and artificial intelligence. She has authored over 40 papers in prestigious publications such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (IEEE Trans. PAMI), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, Medical Image Analysis, as well as conferences like CVPR, ICCV, and MICCAI, with nearly 4,000 citations on Google Scholar. She has served as a guest editor for multiple SCI journals and led numerous national and provincial/ministerial projects.
